TCM: Being with comfortable people is also nourishing

TCM: Being with comfortable people is also nourishing

Health is “normal” and “neutral.”

Everything in heaven and earth is like a huge symphony, and it is the standard of health to go with the big symphony of heaven and earth, to go in a normal and neutral way.

When you are sick, you are actually kicked out by God.

Therefore, the disease in ancient times is called “out of order”, the cause of the disease is called “out of order”, or “out of power”.

What does health mean? Health is “constant”.

Health is not about your rosy complexion, full of energy or anything like that, it’s not about these things, it’s not about how much muscle strength, how much heartbeat ……

What is “constant”?

The most important thing is to be in a relatively harmonious relationship with yourself, with society, and with the world at large, and to be able to play along with the rhythm of nature.

The weather is hot, others are sweating, you can also sweat; others walk for two hours without getting tired, you can also walk. But if others are afraid of the cold, you still feel hot; others are sleepy, you still can’t sleep at 3:00 in the middle of the night, in fact, you have begun to keep up.

If you think you are healthy, this is already very sick.

In the eyes of Chinese medicine, there are several stages of illness, the first stage is the “God” disease.

God is scattered, God is uncertain, attention is not focused, this is a kind of.

Sensitive, easily moved by the outside world, moved by the heart, emotions, desire, poor self-control, this is the second.

In ordinary life, sleep is not good, easy to wake up, afraid of noise, afraid of the dark, afraid of ghosts, this is the weakness of the gods.

When the disease of the mind is serious, the mind and the spirit are separated, the heart and the mouth are not the same, the inner and the outer are in conflict, you are not with yourself, your words do not come from your heart, and you cannot even express your happiness, anger, sorrow and happiness, or they are too much.

For example, many variety shows now belong to the “too much”, the purpose is to render, provoke emotional outbursts, creating obsessive fans, easy to mess with God.

There is also “less than”. You should be happy when you have to suppress a little, get used to it, you really can not be happy.

Too much, not enough, are out of order.

“When it’s the right time but not the right energy” is also a disorder. When you should be happy, you suddenly cry. It is perverse to force yourself to be strong when you were originally sad. There are many such situations in real life.

What is health?

Health is “normal” and “neutral”.

Therefore, after studying Chinese medicine, I know that “I wish you a normal day” is the greatest blessing.

In the past, my teacher taught me a trick to see a disease: when a Western doctor doesn’t know what it is and a Chinese doctor doesn’t know what the cause is, and you don’t know how to cure it, what should you do? Tune the constant.

Every time a patient comes for a follow-up, ask him about his living condition, eating, drinking, sleeping, which is the basic indicator for a TCM doctor to see a patient.

Are you eating well? Do you sleep well? Do you move well? Is he straining well? Is sweating normal? Especially in chronic diseases, when these basic indicators are normalized, it means that vitality is restored and qi is normalized, and at this time, the body’s original vitality can dissolve the disease.

This is true for any disease.

Nowadays, there is a big misconception: if you have a disease, you have to cure it at the root, keep on treating it, and keep on treating it.

As a result, the patient and even the whole family will forget about normal life, no exercise, no life, no entertainment, no love, nothing, only the tension and anxiety left to fight the disease.

What is this? Disorder.

Your swing is being artificially disturbed, even stopped! This is a situation where even if you have the resources and access to the best doctors in the world, it’s useless. To recover, a person must enter into a real and orderly normal life, in a state of co-sinking and mutual sympathy with all things, in order to slowly dissolve the disease.

So what is really important about health and conditioning is to find the state that makes you feel at ease and comfortable as much as possible. The same is true for healthy people. We have to do the right things at the right time, in the right place, with the right people, in the right way, and this is health care. In Buddhism, it is called “right action” and “right karma”.

All illnesses are first “spiritual” illnesses

According to Chinese medicine, all diseases are firstly, the disease of God, then the disease of Qi, then the disease of blood, and finally, what is it? Form disease.

The disease starts from the invisible part of life, i.e., from the level of spirit and information; the second stage is the disruption of the energy pattern and operation law in the qi part; the third stage is the tangible level of disease.

The source of many people’s illnesses is some kind of great worry, great resentment, or a lot of confusion that they cannot resolve. Very often, the illness is because they are not willing to face, clarify, and resolve it.

Why Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism attach so much importance to “shame”, “introspection” and “repentance”, first you have to realize that you are wrong before you have the possibility of “knowing what is wrong and leaving”.

When the mind turns, the spirit turns, and the direction of the life train turns.

When a person’s body is seriously ill, the direction of the life train has been wrong for a long time.

But one thing must be remembered, beliefs have a chance to turn back at any time, and when beliefs turn, the divine energy has a chance to be corrected at any time.

Many people are ignorant of their lives, their inner state, their physical and mental feelings, but expect to change a lot by eating a handful of green beans or a few wormwoods. This is okay for simple and light-hearted chicks and birds, it is not so easy to change by it for people as big as us and as complex as our body and mind. Unless you are a very clean body, a very pure mind, and lead a very simple life, a handful of mung beans will not be able to tune you, and a packet of tonics is not so easy to do.

There is a dialogue in the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine.

“The emperor said: the shape of the malignant blood is exhausted and the work is not established what?”

The Yellow Emperor asked Qibo, when a person’s form is broken and drained of qi and blood, treatment is difficult to see results, why is this ah?

“Qibo said: the gods do not make it.”

The patient’s Shen Qi is not working as it should, and there is no way for the doctor to mobilize it.

The Yellow Emperor then asked: What is God does not make it?

Qibo answered: “Needle stone, the Tao also. The spirit does not advance, the will does not cure, so the disease can not be cured. Now the spirit is bad, the spirit goes, Rongwei can not be regained. What is it? The appetite for endless, and more than worry, the essence of the bad, the glory and weeping health removed, so the gods go and the disease does not heal.”

This passage we slowly play, why now more and more disease, more and more bad treatment, you can find the reason from here.

The source of everything lies in the invisible mind, the spirit, and then the energy, and then it is transformed into matter.

All diseases, or the beginning of this world, come from this.

True wellness
is to feel oneself

When a person lives with his own feelings, it is from his heart, the origin is himself, there is no misalignment.

What is the problem that modern people tend to have?

We go to seek a thing, a person or a thing. Always have a lot of ambitious development plans, always thinking, thinking far away. Or focus on a star and can’t get enough of it. Constantly watching this and that, or constantly speaking and doing things.

We take external things as the origin, then we lose the feeling of ourselves and our surroundings in the present moment.

What is this state called in Chinese medicine? It is the “separation of form and mind”.

What is the quiet state of meditation? It is the state of “form and spirit”, or “mind and body united”, as stated in the Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine.

Nowadays, we talk about nutrition, we need to eat well, an egg in the morning, a meal of meat in the evening, right?

When we were young, we all burned a stove, and the size of the fire determined how much firewood you should add to it.

So, why don’t we understand this when it comes to food?

Your stove fire is obviously very small and weak, there is no longer any digestive power, the flue is all blocked, the stool does not work, sweat does not come out, and there is no exercise, you still eat steak and drink milk, it will only add fertilizer and blockage, and put out the stove fire.

These truths do not need to learn medical knowledge to understand, are the most basic common sense of daily life, to be experienced in the life.

You have to live with knowledge and awareness. If you feel uncomfortable after eating something, even if you don’t realize it until the tenth time, it is the beginning of knowledge and awareness.

It is best to fit yourself, not to go out and find an external uniform standard.

Therefore, it is important to develop the habit of being mindful in life, to feel yourself, to observe yourself, and then to know at least.

One, what is comfortable to eat and what is not.

two, with whom is comfortable, with whom is not comfortable.

Third, what to think, what to say, what to do will be more at ease, or vice versa, will not be able to sleep, tangled and sad.

By watching yourself all the time in life, you can adjust yourself all the time, which is the real health care.

Tone and soften the body and mind

The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine has a higher requirement for nourishing the body and mind – “tranquility and emptiness”, which is close to the state of Taoist and Buddhist achievers.

The word “tranquil” means quiet, peaceful, with a relaxed, slightly sweet.

In contrast, the great joy and sorrow common in TV dramas is a state of relative paranoia, loss of center, loss of guard, not a normal neutral state.

There is a principle in Chinese medicine called “sweet to ease”, which means that all medicines, as long as they are sweet, such as licorice, can soften and ease the functioning of the mind and body, including the way people look at problems and their attitudes.

Nowadays, many diseases originate from the lack of “slowing down”.

For example, neurasthenia, anxiety disorders, bipolar syndrome, etc., are all common in this era, in fact, we are caught in a state of mental and spiritual life that is too fast and too anxious.

Too anxious, God is floating outside, the qi is also floating, both tight and chaotic, the physiological function is also followed by dysfunction.

What is the meaning of “light”? “Don’t care so much, nothing is wrong, everything is fine.” So there is a lot of space, this is okay, that is okay; instead of having expectations, obsessing about the goal, and not trying to control the situation.

There is less of what you want and less of what you think, and less of the habit of doing.

Buddhism often says “purify your own mind”, Confucianism says “think without evil”, Taoism says “the way is lost every day”, all of which are about simplicity and simplicity.

For people with poor health, I have a suggestion: don’t learn too much and too much.

Nowadays, many people are physically and mentally exhausted, but they are very enthusiastic about learning, what with Chinese medicine, Chinese studies, body and soul, and everything else. Whether it’s good or bad intention, it’s all intention, and it’s best not to move too much. When the body is weak, the divine energy is not easy to collect.

In Chinese medicine, Taoism and Buddhism, cultivating the mind is the first thing, because at that time your body is as sensitive as an electronic balance, and a single thought will make a big change.

Nan Huaijin teacher’s book often mentioned, meditation to sit to a more subtle time, you a thought, the body will have changes, will have a feeling, then naturally do not dare to move the thought. If you think and look around, you will be uncomfortable.

Subtle perception – the kung fu of the false self

There are two modes of human perception.

One is the genjutsu, and the other is the knowledge god (modern times will refer to the heart or brain).

It is the cognitive mode that is loaded from the external world and used by “me” through long-term education, environmental suggestion and media guidance.

The “Yuan Shen” refers to instinct and intuition. The “mind” and “enlightenment” often mentioned in Chinese culture, such as the advanced level of calligraphy and painting, guqin, Chinese medicine and martial arts, which can achieve “the transformation of the mind into the body and the body into one”, are all spoken of at the level of intuition and instinct.

In the I Ching, there is a saying.

“The Book of Changes has no thought, no action, no movement, no feeling.”

The ancient Chinese sages believed that the true knowledge of heaven and earth and the universe and life is not obtained by thinking, not approached by doing, but when the mind is in a state of silence and motionlessness, in communion with heaven and earth and the universe, it naturally penetrates everything.

Through traditional training methods, such as meditation, stance standing, and Tai Chi ……, we slowly learn to stop relying too much on our five senses and logical thinking, and to experience the reality of the present moment directly with our mind.

I remember coming across certain classes in college that were really not interesting and couldn’t leave, so I sat down to play: relax, put my fingers gently on the foot three miles, put them for a few minutes and see what happens, this is the mindset of play.

“Play”, is a very important word in traditional culture, many things are inadvertently experienced in a relaxed state, too hard thinking, too goal-oriented, often miss.

When you put your finger there, you don’t feel it at first, the point is concave and deflated, this is the “deficiency”; after a while, it starts to jump, “the qi has arrived”, the qi and blood start to sense it; after a while it will slowly start to undulate and open and close on its own.

It will keep building up momentum, and sometimes, it will feel like the bottom is powerful upwards, and at a certain point it will connect down the stomach meridian, along the calf, to the neck of the foot, and it won’t go down. There are joints, these places are not too easy to circulate, and easy to store evil qi, so we need to open up the joints.

The first thing you need to do is to put in a little more time, it continues to build up momentum, “boom”, to the bottom of the foot. It turns out that the cold qi and hot qi in the body come out in a “hu, hu, hu”.

When your perception becomes more subtle, you will be able to know directly.

After I graduated from college, I helped my mother with moxibustion every weekend, and I also helped a teacher at that time. One night, I was very impressed, I was moxibutting the bladder meridian points on his back, and when I reached a certain point, it felt like a geyser was coming up from the points, like a feeling of the moxa bar rising up from the ceiling.

This feeling means it is real, “real is open”. The body has excess energy inside and it naturally spreads outward. What does deficiency feel like? The feeling of the moxa being sucked in as it hangs over the acupuncture point.

Later, I discovered that if you relax enough, the hand holding the moxa stick will move on its own, and the patient’s back qi field will change during the moxibustion process, directing your hand, actually the moxa stick, to where the body needs it.

This state often happens when both parties are relaxed and the acupuncturist is in a state of “selflessness and forgetfulness”. If the acupuncturist’s mind is unsettled, if he or she is not focused, or if he or she is too purposeful, if he or she is concentrating, but clinging and exerting himself or herself, he or she will not be able to feel this.

This is also the case with needles. To learn acupuncture, you can often spare an hour to stay in the room and give yourself a needle. After you put it on, meditate and experience what it feels like. As I said before, it is like throwing a stone in a pond, and the ripples spread out, and you will gradually know where your body is blocked and where you can get through.

When you are quiet and relaxed, without so many thoughts, ideas, emotions, desires, plans and all kinds of worries rushing around, your own mind is like a relatively clean mirror.

Everything is clearly there, waiting for you to find it.

You face the world every day, and every day you experience a little bit new, experience those images like in fairy tales: hey, Grandpa Sun is happy today, the flowers are smiling at me, and a bee is flying by as if it has something to tell me.

Meditate on your own mind, feel the changing seasons of heaven and earth, flowers, birds, fish and insects floating and sinking, and feel each other’s intention and spirit and body, and take things from afar and take your body from near.

The answer is here.
